Privacy Policy

NC Health Info is committed to preserving the privacy of our users. We do not collect personal information such as name, address, telephone number, or e-mail address, unless you voluntarily submit it to complete a form, participate in a survey, or send an e-mail message. This information will be collected and used solely for the purposes of responding to requests for information by the user, to track comments and recommendations regarding the web site, and to process and track other user-initiated transactions.

All personal user information will remain confidential and will never be sold or otherwise shared or communicated to any individual or company.

NC Health Info does collect and log non-personal information such as IP address or the type of browser or operating system you use. This information is used in aggregate to help us determine which pages are visited, which hyperlinks selected, how long visitors stay on a page, and the general geographic distribution of visitors to our web site. This non-personally identifying information helps us diagnose problems, plan for enhancements, identify the most popular parts of our web site, and generally maintain the site.

Cookies are small text files placed on your computer's hard drive to store information allowing web sites to acknowledge you as a previous visitor. NC Health Info does not use cookies except when administering an online customer satisfaction survey. In that situation, the cookie allows NC Health Info to recognize users who have already taken the survey to ensure they are not asked to participate a second time. This cookie does not give NC Health Info access to any part of your computer other than the cookie itself, nor does the cookie provide any personal information about you. In addition, it will be set to expire and remove itself from your computer once the survey is completed.

Once you leave the NC Health Info web site to visit a link, our privacy policy is no longer in effect. You should carefully check the privacy statements on any site that you visit.
