NC Health Info is maintained by a team of medical librarians and web developers at the Health Sciences Library of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, with support from the National Library of Medicine.


Use this form to ask a question. We are not able to respond to requests for medical advice, provide second opinions or make specific recommendations regarding health care providers, services, programs or therapies. Please address such issues with your health care provider.


On weekdays, Ask A Librarian is monitored throughout the day, Monday-Thursday, 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM, and until 5:00 PM on Fridays. Over the weekend, you can expect a reply within 24 hours. During library hours, you may also call 919-962-0800.


Ask A Librarian is a free service for residents of North Carolina provided by the UNC Health Sciences Library.
